Abstract
The book “Unfinished Dream” is compiled in 8 chapters and 293 pages. The method of conducting this research is qualitative, and among the various qualitative methods, focus group interviews were used to obtain the information required for this research. The sample population of this research is all public universities. For qualitative sampling, one university was first selected from each of the northern, central, eastern, and western provinces. In the initial studies, Mazandaran University was selected from the north, Arak University from the center, Sistan and Baluchestan University from the southeast, and Bu-Ali-Sina University of Hamadan from the west of the country. This book shows in the research findings section; the gap between the expectations of the girls participating in this research from the university and the existing social reality is very large. This gap can be understood within the framework of the following factors: the low quality of universities, the significant difference between central and peripheral universities, the widespread atmosphere of lethargy and despair in universities, the suppression of students' motivations by various factors in universities, the lack of a suitable platform for scientific activity, the lack of material and welfare facilities, the weakness of association activities, the lack of vitality and open cultural space. This book suggests that the Ministry of Science end the policies of gender quotas, gender segregation, and gender indigenization and consider the university as an interactive space for formalizing and respecting cultural, ethnic, and gender diversity.
